Pilates is a life-changing wellness and fitness method. At Turning Tide Pilates West Auckland, we offer a number of Pilates classes plus different disciplines grounded in current science and the original teachings of visionaries Joe and Clara Pilates, Yamuna Zake and Juliu Horvath.

So that we can support your individual health goals, each of our Pilates classes are taught in a one-to-one or small group setting, with a maximum of five students. 

All new clients need to take an initial Introduction and Assessment session so we can design your programme according to your goals and needs. We also discuss a plan and give you feedback on your likely timeline for progress.


The Pilates Method is a complete, holistic, safe and effective form of exercise. When practiced regularly, you will see positive changes that leave you feeling more relaxed, invigorated, taller, stronger, and with a new sense of well-being. Learn healthy breathing practices to powerfully integrate your mind and body, plus achieve your fitness goals.

Pilates Online One-to-One Sessions

Sometimes it can be difficult to make it into our studio. But, that doesn’t mean you need to miss out on a Pilates session. We offer one to one classes and coaching online. You still get the expertise and guidance of our teachers from a location that suits you. Practice any of our disciplines via online one-to-one sessions.

Pregnancy / Antenatal Pilates

Pregnancy Pilates is a safe and effective way of maintaining your fitness and strengthening your body during pregnancy and also helping repair and rebuild from 6 to 12 weeks after your baby is born. It helps you to maintain good posture, strengthen the muscles in your back, abdominals and pelvic floor, enhance your psychological well-being, keep arms and legs strong and improve your breath control.  

Gyrokinesis Method®

Gyrokinesis method is an effective approach to physical health. Using spinal mobilisations like arching, curling, twisting and spiralling, as the foundations, you can strengthen and energise your whole body. The classes are rhythmical and move fluidly through sequences with a powerful combination of breath patterns and movement.
